2011 Holidays Window Display NYC, Amazing and Disappointing…

We don't know what you felt if you were in New York in the 2011 Holiday season and visited the annual holiday window displays decorated by some stores.

This is just our opinion.....

Amazing - Carnival of the Animals by Bergdorf Goodman
We really enjoyed those beautiful fantasy world created by Bergdorf Goodman.
Especially, the mosaic tile work (in the sea) and the paper craft works were amazing and dreaming.
The each animal had very unique style and expression.

Disappointing - Gaga's Workshop by Barney's
We know this is the charity event display but no surprise, no impression, no newness and not like Barney's who create always something new and original.

Furthermore, the Workshop store was full of Junk, some cheesy snacks and overprice cosmetics.
If this is not Lady Gaga, it was a junk gift shop, sorry but this is just our opinion. Most people would love the store.

We love the very thinner line between ugly and beautiful (like the singer formerly known as Prince) and it was Barney's who always standing on the thinner line but this year's display was totally disappointed.

Yoshitomo Nara Nobody's Fool Exhibition at Asia Society

which features more than 100 works from his early career in the 80's to the latest one.

We of course visited and realized why his art is loved by so many people.
The exhibition is made of the 3 parts of Children, Animals and Houses.

We went to the Prospect Park on 8/29/10 to celebrate MJ's Birthday which was organized by Spike Lee.

It was so hot day and the party was so hot too.
Dj Spinna spin the most MJ music in his way. We loved it and danced much.
(Our friends came from PR to attend this party and also for boat party ).

Here we just want to share our snap photos with you guys if you heart MJ.
Nothing to say, we just had a good time with the all MJ fans.
Rest In Peace, MJ is forever in our mind, period.

Nowadays we can find variety of dog apparel in the US pet market.

But this unique coat created by a student of Fashion Institute of Technology is not available anywhere.

We found this fabulous item at the 5th annual Pet Fashion Week NY at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York.
This event is one of the trade shows for Pet industry where vendors and buyers (retailers) are able to meet and deal business.

Pet Fashion Week has tied up with FIT to help students to enter the pet industry and the 9 winners' works from a design competition of
the FIT's Pet fashion course were here with many original ideas.

We could see the unique dog Yukata (Japanese casual Kimono) also. Very interesting.

We don't know your dog likes these items but they are very fresh in the pet apparel market which is full of ruffle princess blin blin type of dresses.

On the fashion magazines, those Rock tees worn by Celeb are always vintage Rock t-shirt.

However, you don't need to buy such expensive vintage t.
You can make your own vintage rock T. Just wear and wash, and wear and wash.

However, our interest is more focus on this Fashionista, Agyness, who try many unexpected ideas and never go to safe and mainstream style.
She mixes many colors, bold print and biker pieces and of course Rock star items.

When we see her style, we recall FIORUCCI, the 80s fashion icon,
the mix of Swinging London and American Classic, the line between Ugly and Beauty,
